Lives were turned upside down in 2020 as Covid-19 rocked the world and civil unrest, due to racial injustice, resurfaced. In this trying time JUMP will continue to work for change

until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

Below are the names of 1,300 JUMP supporters who signed a brick for our yellow brick road as we build a pathway to justice.

We invite you to add your name in support of the work of Topeka JUMP.

JUMP's Statement Regarding COVID-19:

The threat to our communities from the coronavirus is serious. No one knows what the next several weeks will hold. JUMP is following all relevant coronavirus protocols in any and all meetings. We encourage:

  • frequent handwashing

  • avoiding shaking hands

  • hand sanitizer at your gatherings

  • people over 60 or have a compromised immune system be aware of the risks of attending our meeting (excuse yourself as necessary)

Local situations vary considerably. When planning for our events, we will consider whether public schools remain in session, congregations are continuing in worship, and the advice of the Shawnee County Health Department. At this time, we will continue to convene small group meetings. The executive committee is developing contingency plans for the Rally, Nehemiah, and Celebration should it still be a risk to convene large assemblies.

This public health crisis does not change the need for JUMP to exercise power to “do justice.”  The stakes are high and we are all obligated to stand together in this fight. There are many, many people who are deeply affected by other crises in Topeka and Shawnee County. Let’s stick together.

Remember, no matter what size our meetings are, they will likely be the strongest witness to the Biblical call for justice.

In this time of crisis, we encourage you to remember that God often makes a way out of “no way.”

Our Mission

To provide a powerful vehicle for marginalized groups in Shawnee County, Kansas to fight for justice.

“What does the LORD require of you? To do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
